By joining this Balinese Cooking Class, you will become familiar with local spices and can try out 7 recipes of Balinese cuisine. You will learn more about Balinese traditional cooking methods. Finally, you can enjoy delicious, home-cooked meals for lunch. A trip for food lovers!

Classes are conducted at Chef Mudana’s own restaurant, Warung SMS in Sanur, where there is a small herb garden filled with plants to pick and use as needed. A choice of three inspiring cooking packages is available for food lovers looking to expand their skills in the kitchen. The first option is a morning class that includes a visit to the traditional fish market in Jimbaran to source the freshest seafood. The second option is more focused on cooking and the third option is a relaxed late afternoon class.

Every class covers a number of different dishes by following a series of step-by-step instructions as demonstrated by Chef Mudana. These are hands-on sessions whereby everything is prepared from scratch including the aromatic spice pastes that are an important part of local cuisine. The end result is a delicious lunch or dinner that all participants get to share.

Upon completion of each Balinese Cooking Class, participants will receive an informative recipe booklet. Chef Mudana is also more than happy to conduct tailor-made cooking classes on request, including how to make traditional Balinese cakes and sweet treats.
