🛃 Visa Information
Many nationalities are eligible for an Indonesian Visa on Arrival (VoA), valid for 30 days and extendable once for an additional 30 days.
To save time upon arrival, you may apply for an Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VoA) before your trip through the official Indonesian Immigration website:
Official e-VoA Application:
https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id/
Visa on Arrival Fee: IDR 500,000 per person (government fee).
Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality. Please check the latest regulations before traveling.
💵 Currency
Indonesia’s official currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR).
Credit cards are widely accepted at hotels, restaurants, and shopping centres, while cash is recommended for local markets, small cafés, and rural areas. ATMs are readily available throughout Bali.
⚡ Electricity
Electricity in Bali operates on 220 Volts / 50 Hz.
Power outlets use Type C and Type F (European-style two-pin plugs). Travelers from countries using different plug types should bring a suitable travel adapter.
☀️ Weather & Climate
Bali enjoys a warm tropical climate throughout the year, with average daytime temperatures ranging from 27°C to 32°C (81°F–90°F).
- Dry Season: April to October
- Rainy Season: November to March
Even during the rainy season, rainfall usually comes in short tropical showers, often followed by sunshine. Weather patterns can be unpredictable, so we recommend packing lightweight clothing together with a light rain jacket or umbrella.
🙏 Balinese Culture
Balinese culture is deeply rooted in Hindu traditions, family values, and respect for local customs.
When visiting temples:
- Wear modest clothing.
- A sarong and sash are required (usually provided at temple entrances).
- Remove your shoes where requested.
- Please respect religious ceremonies and avoid entering temple areas if restrictions apply.
A warm smile and respectful attitude are always appreciated by the local community.
💳 Tipping
Tipping is not compulsory in Bali but is always appreciated for excellent service.
Many restaurants already include a 10% Government Tax and 5–10% Service Charge. For drivers, guides, hotel staff, and spa therapists, tipping is entirely at your discretion.
📱 Internet & SIM Card
Free Wi-Fi is available in most hotels, restaurants, cafés, and tourist attractions.
If you wish to stay connected throughout your trip, local prepaid SIM cards and eSIM packages are widely available at the airport and convenience stores.
🚰 Drinking Water
Tap water in Bali is not safe for drinking.
We recommend drinking bottled or filtered water throughout your stay. Complimentary bottled mineral water is provided during your tours with Luxury Bali Travel.
🚖 Transportation
Traffic in Bali can be busy, particularly around Denpasar, Seminyak, Canggu, and Ubud during peak hours.
For your comfort and convenience, all tours with Luxury Bali Travel include private, air-conditioned transportation with experienced English-speaking drivers, allowing you to relax while we take care of the journey.
❤️ Health & Safety
Bali is considered one of Southeast Asia’s safest holiday destinations.
We recommend:
- Using sunscreen and staying hydrated.
- Applying insect repellent, especially in the evening.
- Wearing comfortable walking shoes.
- Bringing any personal prescription medications.
Comprehensive travel insurance is highly recommended for your peace of mind.
💰 Bali Tourist Levy
International visitors are required to pay the Bali Tourist Levy of IDR 150,000 per person, which supports environmental conservation and Balinese cultural preservation.
The levy can be paid online before arrival or upon arrival in Bali.
