Moving towards Bandung, on the way visit Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (Beautiful Indonesia in the miniature park) an extensive park to get a glimpse of the diverseness of the Indonesian archipelago, it represents Indonesia and their outstanding characteristics, reflected most strikingly in the exact regional architecture of the province. Then head to Bogor with its famous Botanical Garden contains more than thousands of species of trees and plants from all over the world. Leaving Bogor, passing along the east side via highway continue to Bandung capital of West Java province and one of the most beautiful cities in West Java. Overnight at Bandung.
The journey starts with a morning drive to Mt Tangkuban Prahu just at the outskirt of Bandung. This mountain has a distinctive shape and looks like an overturned boat with an astonishing view of mountain ranges and tea plantations surrounding it. Afterward, feel the rejuvenating and revitalizing sensation, visitors can continue their journey to the nearby Ciater's Hot Springs and surely a perfect place to enjoy the cool air and relaxing sceneries after a series of soft trekking activities. In the afternoon spend the time seeing the famous uniquely traditional wooden doll puppet theatre known as Wayang Golek and a popular musical instrument Angklung bamboo orchestra, as well as the classical Sundanese gamelan and dances at Saung Angklung Ujo at Padasuka.
Transfer to train station, depart to Yogyakarta. On the train, enjoy the beauty of the mountains and the scenery along the way. On Arrival at Yogyakarta, the center of Javanese culture and tourism in Java, direct transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight at Yogyakarta.
Morning Royal City tour. First pass through Old Town to see historical and cultural highlights, colonial buildings,s and the famous Malioboro street a great long-colorful bazaar. Then stroll at central market Beringharjo can be a fascinating and adventurous stop. This traditional market is a lively place, where thousands of people, both sellers and buyers alike flock daily and has been a vital part of the city’s economy since 1758. Next, explore within the fortress walls by Becak, visit Kraton (Sultan's Palace) where the Royal family lives and Water Castle ruin, pools, arches and underground passage of the former pleasure garden of the Royal family. Afterward, see the beauty of famous traditional batik handicrafts works and experience a short course of Batik learn directly from a local craftsman and create your own Batik. The afternoon explores the glorious Prambanan temple, Java’s most interesting Hindu shrine of the 9th century, regarded as one of the most beautiful Hindu temples in the world and known as Rara Jonggrang temple. This temple represents the Hindu trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva with a bas-relief depicting the famous Ramayana story.
Discover the history and mystery of the Borobudur temple, built during the 8th century by the rulers of the Syailendra dynasty, this massive stupa is the largest Buddhist temple in the world. It was left to ruin as the dynasty fell apart and was only recognized as a global treasure by Raffles in 1814. It is just 40 km from Yogyakarta and served as a central sanctuary for the Buddhist religion. Visit also temples in the vicinity of Borobudur, Mendut temple which houses the great statue of Buddha, and Pawon temple. Transfer to airport for departure. (Flight must be after 3 pm).
